By reason of the largeness of the staff strength and vastness of area of coverage, the Board decentralized into six (6) zonal offices, namely:

1. Agbani zone - made up of Nkanu East, Nkanu-west and Enugu South Local Government Areas.
2. Awgu Zone - made up of Awgu, Aninri and Oji River Local Government Areas.
3. Enugu Zone - made up of Enugu North, Enugu East and Isi – Uzo Local Government Areas.
4. Nsukka Zone - made up of Nsukka, Igbo-Etiti and Uzo-Uwani Local Government Areas.
5. Obollo Afor Zone - made up of Igbo – Eze North, Igbo-Eze South and Udenu Local Government Areas.
6. Udi Zone - made up of Udi and Ezeagu Local Government Areas.

Each Zone is headed by a Chief Supervising Principal (CSP).
