The Post Primary Schools Management Board, Enugu recently embarked on the physical verification exercise of her tutorial and non-tutorial staff in the six education zones of the state.
The chairman of the Board, Barr. Nestor Ezeme who disclosed this while interacting with tutorial and non-tutorial staff of the Board in all the six education zones of the state noted that the aim of the exercise was to ascertain the bonafide staff of the Board. He explained that while the staff of the Board were being retired on the monthly basis, the wage bill of the Board continued to increase.
Barr. Ezeme pointed out that the only way to address the issue and fish out ghost workers was to embark on the physical auditing of all the staffers, stressing that if appropriately carried out, a lot of discoveries would be made.
The exercise which started on July 21, 2016 at Nsukka education zone, ended at the PPSMB Headquarters on August 11, 2016
