The proximity posting ( swapping) exercise for public secondary school teachers in Enugu Urban, held on Saturday , 28th of Sept., 2024, was a huge success.
About a hundred and fifty teachers participated in the exercise which took place at the CIC mini stadium, Enugu.

Speaking during the rally, the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hilary Mgbodile, explained that the essence of the exercise, was to reduce the cost of transportation.

A good number of the teachers were successfully deployed to schools proximate to their residential areas; which will undoubtedly reduce their transportation cost.
The rally also featured dancing competitions between the teachers from Enugu , Agbani and staff of the headquarters. Each best dancer went home with N10,000

These proximity postings and their impacts on teachers will be significant in education sector.
