Declaring the event open, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, appreciated the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his support, investment and push to make education better in Enugu State. The Commissioner, who couldn't hide his excitement. He expressed his happiness to be associated with the skill fest acquisition program and congratulates the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni FCISM, for the success that was recorded in this year's 2022 WAEC result, which Enugu State came first in the south east and second in the whole federation. He told the audience that the skill fest program has come to stay and that anybody who has a skill, has been transformed positively.

He thanked the management for the initiative and urged the students to make good use of the opportunity.

In her speech, the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni FCISM, applauded the SS3 graduates of Enugu State public secondary schools for making the state proud. She therefore, encouraged the students to learn to be cultured during the training and make sure each one of them gets one skill at the end of the program.

Other speakers at the event, SSA to the Governor of Enugu State on religious matters, Bishop Chinedu Nwoye, in his speech said that what makes a child exceptional is the gift in him or her and not the parents. He therefore urged the students to develop a creative mind which will enable them to go far in learning, as the essence of the program is for them to have a skill outside their certificates.

In the same vain, the member 2 of the Board, Hon. Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa taught the students an inspirational song for their encouragement.

The event featured; presentation of facilitators that will train the students in shoe making, hair dressing, auto mobile, barbing, mobile app, fashion design, catering, baking, graphic design, make up artistry, home products and Microsoft office tools.
