The Board, led by the Chairman, Rev. Fr. Hilary Mgbodile while addressing the principals who seek to transfer from their previous schools in rural areas to urban areas announced that the era of meritocracy is here with us. Insisting that every transfer must be on merit after a written examination; and that no one should come to the Board with any written endorsement by stakeholders in the state. According to him, *it's time for us to do things the right way because we have gotten it wrong for too long.*

 

Fr. Mgbodile further hinted to the principals that there will be written exams and results shall be announced immediately to enable the successful ones to proceed immediately to their new place

of assignments.

 

At the end of the open and transparent exercise, the following four Principals scored higher and were posted to their respective new schools.

 

They include:

 

1). Nneji Josephine - formerly at CSS Amafor Ugbawka, but now posted to Annunciation Secondary School Nkwo- Nike.

 

2). Ezeama Gilbert, formerly at CSS Obeleagu Umana, but now posted to Uwani Secondary School, Enugu.

 

3). Ezenwalie Patricia formerly at CSS Aguobu Umumba, but now posted to Metropolitan Girls Sec. Sch. Enugu.

 

4). Obetta Charles, formerly at WSS Opanda, Uzo Uwani, but now posted to New Heaven Sec. Such Enugu.

 

*The schools were graded before the exam, with corresponding positions ascribed to them.*

We thank God for this unprecedented transparency in the school board.
