BREAKING NEWS- 200 HIGHLY GIFTED BRAINS IDENTIFIED, REWARDED, ADDITIONAL 300 GRADUATE FROM SKILLFEST
The first lady of Enugu state, Her Excellency Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi in partnership with PPSMB thru the office of the Perm Secretary, Dr Evang Favor Ugwuanyi, mni put joy in the hearts of teenagers as 200 students of secondary schools classified as the best brains in academics from 200 schools were identified from public schools after series of rigorous examinations within an academic calendar
Her excellency is desirous to identify and motivate best brains in public schools who are God's gifts to humanity. Surprisingly, many of them are from very poor homes, but with rich deposits that can be harnessed and motivated thru scholarship.
Her excellency in partnership with PPSMB concluded the 1 CHILD 1 SKILL, TEENAGE SKILL FEST INITIATIVE
300 students graduated from soft skills workshop. They learned catering, hairdressing, fruit juice processing, baking, Make up artistry, need making, shoe making, barbing, online digital marketing and basic computing skills.
The teenagers showcased beautiful cultural dances and drama presentation
Her excellency, gave out scholarships to 200 overall best students under the UGO TOUCH OF LIFE FOUNDATION to the HIGHLY GIFTED children selected from 200 schools in Enugu.
Additional 500 students qualified for various scholarship programmes
This is the first time in the history of the state that deliberate, positive actions have been taken to identify Gifted children (GENIUSES) and place them in special scholarship and mentoring programs.
His Lordship Bishop Nwoye C, enjoyed wonderful meal prepared by the teenagers between ages of 9-13 and also purchased some items produced by the graduands of the skillfest.
