The Post Primary Schools Management Board, PPSMB Enugu in collaboration with Enugu State Government organize a 5 day capacity building workshop for all the teachers in Public Secondary schools of the six education zones in the state.

Declaring the training open for teachers from Nsukka Education zone, the Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni FCISM, told the teachers that Enugu State Government is happy with them for the success recorded in the last SSCE WAEC result, where the state came first in the whole South East and second in Nigeria.

The Executive Chairman attributed the success to the Favour of God and hard work shown by the teachers in the field. She equally informed them that the purpose of the training is for preparation against the forth coming 2022/2023 academic year. Furthermore, she told them that the Board cannot go backward any longer, but to maintain the standard that has already been set. She therefore, encouraged the teachers to make good use of the opportunity given to them by paying attention to the teaching from the resource persons.

Never the less, Dr. Ugwuanyi used the opportunity to express her gratitude to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all his support to the Board. She said that the Board has achieved alot under his administration, even when most states couldn't pay salary to their workers. She urged the teachers to support the governor in his next political carrier.

On the other hand, the SA to the Governor of Enugu State on religious matters, Bishop Chinedu Nwoye appreciated the teachers for making the State proud. He told them that the only person that can hold up a child is the teacher, because most students in public secondary schools are from poor and broken homes, but that's where great men and women in the society were groomed. He therefore encouraged them to discharge their duties with the fear of God

Today's training saw three resource persons with the topics as -

Prof. Sola Adeyanju mni, treated, Leadership And Conflict Management Skills In Enugu State Public Schools.

Others were, Engr. Donald Chukwuanyi, handled the topic on the 21st Century Teachers. while Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezuka treated, Modeling Parental Teachers

The training continues tomorrow, Wednesday 21st September 2022 for Obollo-Afor Education Zone.
