On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Executive Chairman of  PPSMB Enugu, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hilary Mgbodile, led a team comprising of Chief Augustine Nwodo, the CSP of Agbani Zone, Mrs. Roseline Onuorah, the Director of School Supervision, and other supervisors from the headquarters and from Agbani zone  on an impromptu visit to Community Secondary School, Akpawfu.

 

Upon arrival at 10:45 am, the team was dismayed to find out that the Principal and teachers were all absent. The students revealed that the Principal and teachers only visited the school once since this term began.

 

 Fr. Mgbodile expressed disappointment and concern regarding the irresponsibility of these officers. Consequently, he decided to relocate the  students to Akpugo High School, Akpugo, to ensure their continued education and well-being. Transport arrangement was also made for their daily mobility. 

 

In an on-the-spot - check at Akpugo High School, Fr.Mgbodile urged teachers living in far areas to relocate; emphasizing the need to reduce transportation costs. He encouraged the students to focus on their studies, emphasizing that education is their primary assignment.

 

The students of CSS Okpawfu were immediately integrated into Akpugo High School. The chairman quickly made provisions for their school uniforms and offered to foot the bill. Teachers whose attendance to school is similar to those at Akpawfu should inquire the tune of music the staff at Akpawfu are currently dancing.
