The coordinator of Nigeria Computer Society in Enugu State, Mrs Nneka Agu appreciated the support she received from the management of Post Primary Schools Management Board, Enugu.
The coordinator who was at the Board's Headquarters Enugu to present the winner of *2022 IT WIZKIDS COMPETITION* , to the Executive Chairman of PPSMB and Board members said that she was properly supported by the Executive Chairman of the Board for the success, including the approval to work with the CSP's of the Six education zones and parents of the the students.
She made it known that Miss Agu Blessing, an SS2 student of GSS Ngwo, in Udi zone came Ist in the competition.
Also speaking during the visit was the President of Enugu State Women in Information Technology, Dr. Mrs Modester Ezeme told the audience that there are so many opportunities for women in ICT, and their joy is to mentor them when they are young in order to compete with others in diaspora.
Furthermore, during his own speach, the Vice Chairman of Udi local Government Area, Hon. Hygenius Agu thanked the Executive Chairman of PPSMB on behalf of Udi council and promised that the winner, Miss Agu Blessing will be celebrated at the council headquarters, Udi so that other students can emulate.
In her commendation, the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni FCISM, said that having worked with the coordinator for the past one year , she discovered that she is a gift to the society and her kind are very rare to find. Dr. Ugwuanyi therefore, appreciated all her efforts towards the success of the competition. The teacher who devoted her time to prepare the student adequately for the competition, was equally appreciated.
Furthermore, Dr. Ugwuanyi informed her visitors that God has been so faithful to PPSMB in particular and Enugu State in general, by telling the position of Enugu State in the just released WAEC results where the state came 1st in the south east and 2nd in whole Nigeria. She however admonished all to work together in order to achieve success; according to her, "when you do what pleases God, He backs it up with success".
The Executive Chairman and Board members rewarded the student, the class teacher, the coordinator and principal of GSS Ngwo with gift items, ranging from laptops, lace materials, sets of brand new uniforms and school shoes as a source of encouragement for all in education industry to work harder.
