For his positive contribution to Education in Awgu and Enugu State in general, the Igwe of Mmaku, HRH Igwe Maduabuchi C. Nevobasi, Omeluenyi 1 of Aguneese, Ezeani III of Mmaku was today honoured with Impact Award at PPSMB Headquarters by the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni FCISM, in the presence of the Board Members, Permanent Secretary, Directors and staff of the Board.

During the Award presentation, the Executive Chairman of PPSMB told her audience that, "the purpose of this award is to appreciate the traditional ruler of Mmaku for partnering with PPSMB for a long time, by giving scholarships to students and encouraging the teachers in the schools and also making sure of orderliness in his community especially in education sector ".

In his reaction, Igwe Nevobasi described the award as a great honor done to him and his subject. He promised to partner with the Board in scholarship awards to students and in other developmental schools' projects. He equally prayed for the leadership of the Board and the staff.

On arrival at the Board, Igwe Nevobasi, the executive Chairman Awgu LGA, Hon. Okwudili Padro Nwankwo, Igwe Deji (Chairman Aninri Traditional Ruler's Council) and his entourage went round the Board to see some of the projects executed by the Chairman of PPSMB through the support of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, from 2nd February 2021 till date, including her one year in office as the Permanent Secretary of the Board.
