Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi for the uncommon feat recorded by Enugu state as best performing state in Nigeria in 2021 WAEC results. Enugu broke record for the first time in 30 years with a score of 93.8 percent as published by the national bureau of statistics.

His Excellency, while underscoring the significant roles of the PPSMB as the bedrock for development and management of public secondary schools in Enugu mandated the chairman and her team to outperform their current performance rating.

His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi reconstituted the new PPSMB board as mandated by extant law after tenure expiration of the old board with select, tested and proven egg heads in Education, administration and public service.

The new PPSMB is made up of the following

CHAIRMAN

Dr. Mrs Favour Ugwuanyi,mni FCISM, started her career in Education as a teacher. She has served in many offices and positions. She retired as permanent secretary from PPSMB after meritorious years of service. She is a round peg in a round hole. Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi underwent many leadership training in the course of her service and also obtained many academic qualifications. She is a member of the prestigious institute of National Policy and Strategic Studies . She has many testaments for her achievements. In just about a year of her service at PPSMB. She built 3000 seater, magnificent , Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi conference center, strict teacher performance monitoring system, major rehabilitations of infrastructure, initiated SKILLFEST targeted at one student one skill initiative, initiated capacity building seminars for teachers with the Nigeria topmost leadership development institute NIPSS. Under her chairmanship, Enugu will be best performing state in West Africa.

MEMBER ONE: Pastor John Ugochukwu Eneze . He served in civil service and retired meritously having attained enviable positions and thick academic profile. He is a highly experienced administrator. He is from Enugu West senatorial district.

MEMBER TWO. Mr Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa , is a proprietor of a school, highly experienced man with vast knowledge and experience in leadership development.

SECRETARY:

Engr Remigiuse Ezeh is a young, dynamic , energetic civil servant recently promoted to the position of Permanent Secretary.

EX OFFICIO MEMBERS

The board has two ex officio members. Both have attained enviable heights in administration with special focus on education. They are Professor Rose Onah and Mrs Oge Agatha Ukah

Expectedly, the PPSMB under the chairmanship of Dr. Mrs Favour Ugwuanyi, mni FCISM, has hit the ground running and will be conducting capacity training workshop for all teachers in Enugu State with NIPSS starting September 24, 2022. The training has been segmented in schools, zones and targeted at retooling the teachers for greater performance. Enugu state has over 7000 secondary school teachers in the state work force.

Interestingly, Governor Ugwuanyi has made significant investment in infrastructure and other vital areas in the education sector and the results are being seen.

The 21st century is a knowledge driven economy. Education is key to repositioning our children to become active players in the new, global realities.
