PRAISES FOR GOV. UGWUANYI AS PPSMB CELEBRATES HIM AT 58.


The Executive Governor of Enugu state Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwanyi has commended the state Post Primay Schools Management Board ,PPSMB, for organizing a special birthday celebration in his honour

The Leader of the Enugu state House of Assembly, Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu who represented the Governor at the event which took place at PPSMB headquarters Enugu on 20/3/22 conveyed the message.
He thanked all those who made the event which marked his 58th birthday successful and memorable, especially the Perm. Sec. PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni, PPSMB officials, principals and teachers of public secondary schools in Enugu state.
Hon. Ezeugwu stated that education and the Welfare of teachers were upper most in the mind of the governor and urged teachers who are the custodians of children to do more in training them for a better tomorrow.
The house Leader described Governor Ugwuanyi as a peaceful man who understood that the purpose of governance was the welfare of the people .
He maintained that the governor, a gift God gave to Enugu state 58 years ago, was a peaceful man who "does not discriminate as he takes development to all nooks and cranny of Enugu state and places emphasis on human capital development to build institutions for the advancement of good governance."
The chairman of the occasion, Engr. Onyema Odo praised the Perm.Sec.PPSMB for celebrating the birthday of "a man who has brought peace,unity and development to Enugu state".
He said that Gov. Ugwuanyi had done well for Enugu state and would leave a big shoe for whoever would succeed him in office.
The Permanent Secretary, PPSMB, and host of the event, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni praised God for the opportunity to witness Governor Ugwuanyi's 58th birthday and the governor for allowing PPSMB to celebrate it in a special way.
She also commended principals of the PPSMB for packaging the celebration and all those who sacrificed their time to honour the governor on his 58th birthday.
Dr. Mrs. Ugwuanyi used the occasion to praise God for the peace that existed in PPSMB, the entire public secondary schools in Enugu state and the achievements that God had used Governor Ugwuanyi to help the board to record.
The celebration started with interdenominational service during which the General Overseer, Rock Family Church, Bishop Obi Onugbuogu said Gov. Ugwuanyi "is a man of excellence who is raising people of excellence in governance and administration."
He prayed God to shield the governor from sycophants and deceitful people so that at the end of his tenure, the citizens would rejoice for what he had done while Enugu state would remain in the hands of God.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters and Bishop of Christ Ascension Church Ebonyi state, Bishop Chinedu Nwoye said it was a special day to gather in ecumenical worship in honour of Governor Ugwuanyi who had dedicated his birthday celebration to God while distributing gifts to the poor.
He warned those who were causing trouble in Nigeria such as kidnappers, unknown gunmen, and all evil men that the judgement of God would come upon them and asked God to do new things in Enugu state.
There were prayers for the youths to be of good behavior and to prosper, for long life, for the security to deal with bandits and trouble makers.
The celebration featured presentation of awards of excellence to three members of staff of PPSMB, Mrs. JoyFrances Agbala, Mrs. Ify Dunu and Mrs. Juliet Enyi and some selected Principals from the six education zones.
Award certificates were also presented to some benefactors of the PPSMB and secondary schools while PPSMB shared food to beggars in some streets of Enugu metapolis.
There were comedy, ballad and cultural dances to spice the occasion attended by many retired and serving principals as well as many important dignitaries.
