It was a big turnout in some Enugu state public secondary schools visited today 7th June 2021 as students resumed academic activities for 2020 /2021 third term session.

The Permanent Secretary PPSMB Enugu, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi, mni. today set up three third term joint monitoring teams made up of directors from school supervision, finance & account, planning research and statistices, science and technology,ipp/legal unit and education services to tour round schools in Enugu urban to monitor schools resumption.

Team A led by Barr. Mrs Martina Ugwu visited Day Secondary school Independence layout, Government Secondary school GRA , Queens School, Urban Girl's Secondary School, City Girls secondary school, Metropolitan Girls secondary school, and New layout Secondary school Enugu.

WhileTeam B led by Dr. Onah visited National Grammar school Nike, Trans Ekulu Girls secondary school, Annunciation Secondary School Nkwo Nike, Umuchigbo Community High school Iji-Nike and Girls Secondary School Abakpa-Nike.

Finally, Mr Bona Odenigbo leader of Team C visited Girls High school Uwani, Uwani Secondary school, Army Day Secondary school, Idaw River Girls secondary school and Coal Camp Secondary school Enugu.

They checked attendance register for the teachers and other statutory records.

The team observed that most of the schools visited were in perfect shape, ready for academic activities, while some students were seen clearing the compound under the supervision of their teachers.

In some schools like Umuchigbo Community High school, Uwani Secondary school, Girls High school Uwani, Girls Secondary school Abakpa-Nike, Queens School Enugu, Urban Girl's Secondary School were seen writing their kick-off test.

Some teachers were absent with permission, but in general, the attendance was impressive for both teachers and students.

The leaders of the teams appreciated principals for the cleanness of their schools and encouraged them to sustain the tempo.
