She said that Enugu State government through the Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had invested so much in the education sector and that all hands must be on deck to maintain high standard in schools.

The Perm. Sec. stated these today through the Director, schools supervision, Dr. Ezekiel Onah, who led a team of Directors of different departments of the board headquarters on Supervision and monitoring of schools in the six education zones in the state.

At St. Teresa's College Nsukka, SS2 students and their parents were seen having a sensitization workshop on registering for WAEC in "Miracle Centers", While in Isi-Uzo under Enugu Zone, the team frowned at the rate Principals and teachers absented themselves from school without proper permission.

The schools visited were Comprehensive secondary school Ohebe Orba, Community Secondary school Orba, Girls Secondary school Owerre-Ezeoba, Community Secondary school Obollo-Afor, Community Secondary school Uda, Community Secondary school Amufie, Model Comprehensive Secondary School Ekposhi, Community Secondary school Imilike - Uno, St Teresa's College Nsukka, Community Secondary school Obukpa, Community Secondary school Emeora, Community Secondary school Neke, Ogor Community Secondary school, Ogor Ikem, Community Secondary school Isiorotor Ikem, Ada Community Secondary school Ada, Community Secondary school Obollo-Etiti and Community Secondary school Umundu.

During the monitoring, a lot of abnormalities were observed by the team and corrections given.
