STILL ON AGGRESSIVE SUPERVISION OF SCHOOLS

"It is our responsibility to get you teachers and make sure they teach, but on your part, you must read. [ Fr. Mgbodile]

In a bid to ensure that teaching and learning take their proper shapes in Enugu State public secondary schools, the Supervision team, led by the Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Fr. Hilary Mgbodile, visited Community Secondary School Obinofia Ndiagu for on-the-spot check on teachers.

On arrival at the school at about 8:30am, the principal of the school, Mr Moses Offor took the Chairman and his team round the classrooms with a few teachers on duty.

In the process of touring around the school, the chairman and his team observed that 95 percent of the structures in the school were dilapidated.

While addressing the teachers and the students of the school, the chairman informed them that the new board is on a rescue mission. He reaffirmed the state government's commitment in uplifting the standard of education in Enugu State. In his words,"we need to be strict in our decisions if we must get it right".

He therefore, encouraged the students to go back to the early days of burning mid-night candles, because the era of miracle centers and exam malpractices is gone.
