THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF SKILL FEST ACQUISITION PROGRAM.
The first Lady of Enugu State, *Her Excellency Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi* urged the secondary school students of Enugu State to make good use of the knowledge gained through one month skill fest acquisition program to better their lives and that of their families.
The wife of the Governor made the statement today at PPSMB Headquarters Enugu during the closing ceremony of the Skill Fest Acquisition Program where three hundred and seventy five students were trained in different skills. She further encouraged the students to appreciate the training and also reciprocate the kind gesture acquired by training other people.
She finally advised the students to be law abiding, respect their parents and honor God as they market their products.
In her own speech, the Permanent Secretary of PPSMB, *Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni,* appreciates God for the success of the training and also thanked the first Lady for honoring the invitation of the Board's first ever Skill Fest Acquisition Program.
The Permanent Secretary revealed that the program was part of her project at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS, that was aimed at training students to posses skills during their secondary school education. She also thanked the Commissioner for Education, *Prof Uche Eze* who promised to cascade the training down to the six Education Zones in the state.
Furthermore, the Permanent Secretary also made it known that five hundred and ten students have been given scholarship through the office of the first Lady of Enugu State. Also through the same office of the first Lady, an NGO equally gave scholarship to some students in SS2 that took first position in 294 secondary schools in Enugu State.
On his own remarks, the initiator and coordinator of the program, *Engr. Donald Chukwuanyi* thanked all for making out time to attend the event. He spoke extensively on what Skill Fest is all about and its achievement so far.
