TRAINING VERY IMPORTANT IN CIVIL SERVICE-- PPSMB EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN


In house - training of all the staff of Post Primary Schools Management Board was held on Friday 3rd June 2022 at various departments and units of the Board's headquarters.

The essence of training and re-training of staff according to the Executive Chairman of PPSMB is to get all staff acquainted with activities and work schedules of various Departments and also on ethics and values of civil services.
Earlier, Dr. Ugwuanyi told the staff that in-house capacity building workshop will be a continuous process at the board and as a career civil servants, it will go a long way to re-define their attitudes towards discharging their duties as civil servants.
During the training, different topics were treated in all the departments and Units. At Central&Secret Registry, Integrity an important virtue for working at the registry was taught by the HOB of the unit, Mrs Joy Francis Agbala. While Barrister Ifesi of legal unit spoke on legal implications of encroachment in school properties. Science and Technology department headed by Engr. Edith Eze talked on communication, while Mrs Philo. Ozioko of promotion unit treated computation of Gen. 35 for 2020 Promotion. In Education Services Department, the Director, Dr Ify Nwankwo discussed leadership skills. Also, Works department being headed by Mrs Murreen Anike taught them on Field safety measures. While HOB of record units, Mrs Udeze Bridget educated them on how to select those due for retirement
The behavior policy code of conduct guidelines for public secondary schools was handled by the Director Schools Supervision, Dr Ezekiel Onah. The overview of Finance and Accounts in all the departments was taught by Mr Bonaventure Odenigbo, Director finance & Account. Also, the Computer Hub wasn't left out in the training as the Importance of giving out accurate information in organisation and the effect of miss-information was handled by the HOB of the unit, Mrs Enyi Juliet. Furthermore, in the sport department, Importance of physical fitness in civil service was discussed by Jennifer , a youth coper serving in the department. Also Mrs Vera Mbah, Director SDP branch of Administration and Supply, talked on the need for training and re-training of workers of PPSMB.
In Appointment Unit, Annual, Casual and leave of absence were taught by the HOB, Mr Basil, while HOD Administration and Supply, discussed Types of leave. Checking of Voucher was taught in Audit unit by Mr Obetta Okechukwu.
Finally, in SERVICOM and PRS Department, Emotion and Data collection & Analysis were treated by Mrs Ifeoma Uzo and Engr. Ndum CC respectively. It was all inclusive and refreshing training for the respective staff of the department/units.
