The newly appointed Executive Chairman of PPSMB, Enugu and his Board Members were at the board yesterday 17th May 2023, for familiarisation with staff of the board, after their appointments by the state government.

 

In his opening remarks at the Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Devotional Hall, PPSMB, Headquarters Enugu, the executive chairman,*Rev. Fr. Hillary Mgbodile,* was visibly happy as they were warmly received by the staff with a standing ovation. The board chairman informed them that he has come to serve and not to be served. In his words, "this opportunity to service is one of the greatest things that has happened to me in my priesthood, and my watch word has been through my life and service, lord console your people", end of quote.

 

He maintained that they are called to serve in order to revive the lost glory of all the public secondary schools in Enugu State. Furthermore, according to the Executive Chairman, " I have come to sacrifice my life, my earnings, my strength, my energy and my ingenuity for the good of the poor masses, so that public schools can now be very functional".

 

He assured the staff that their interest will be protected, most especially teachers in the rural areas.

 

The newly appointed Chairman and its Board Members took their time to tour around the offices and facilities within the board headquarters.

 

The Chairman and his team were introduced to the staff by the Permanent Secretary ,Engr. Remi Eze as;
