WORK HARD TO EXCEL: NEWLY APPOINTED PRINCIPALS - DR. UGWUANYI mni

Newly appointed principals of public secondary schools in Enugu State have been told to work hard in order not to fail but excel in their duties

The Permanent Secretary, Enugu State Post Primary Schools Management Board, PPSMB, Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi mni, gave the advice today while addressing the principals shortly before handing them over their appointment letters at the PPSMB Headquarters Enugu.
She urged them to exhibit maturity in all they did to earn respect and to treat teachers in their schools with dignity to achieve positive results. "You should establish good relationship with those who can help you to excel, including experienced retired principals. Think of how to improve the schools you are posted to and be honest in the discharge of your duties," the Perm. Sec. emphasised.
Dr. Ugwuanyi mni, announced that a two day workshop would be organised for the new principals on 28th and 29th of this month to equip them for the task ahead and admonished them not to miss it.
The more than 50 new principals replaced retired and retiring (those who have less than three months to retire) principals in the Enugu State secondary schools system.
Principals of secondary schools in the state who some of their indigent students benefited from award of payment of WAEC fee by a donor, Mr. Ifeanyi Adauno were also at the PPSMB Headquarters Enugu today to collect the money for payment for their respective beneficiary students.
The Permanent Secretary told them to forward the receipts to her office as soon as payments were made.
