The House committee Chairman on Education, Hon. James Akadu from Igbo Etiti West Constituency, made the statement when he led other members of the committee to PPSMB Headquarters on a familiarization tour.

The team who were amazed at the level of achievements recorded by the Chairman, said that she has done well in improving Post Primary education in Enugu State to enviable hight. He

maintained that the Executive Chairman of PPSMB had written her name in the sand of time and that children yet on born will surely benefit from it. He advised the Chairman not to slow the tempo because she has set the pace for other parastatals owned by the Government.

They appreciated the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the appointment, describing it as a square peg in a square hole.

In response, the Executive Chairman of the Board told the Committee members that she was able to achieve all these things through direct labour & individual donors and went further to inform them that before her retirement, with the help of Directors, they were able to achieve greater success. She maintained that within a space of one year and two months, the board was able to build ICT Hub, equipped with computers and their accessories, Skills acquisition centre, Staff wellness center, Gym center, Staff canteen, refurbished staff seats & tables and Re-painting of all the office buildings.

Other things done by the board are renovation of the devotion Hall, renovation of the offices, training and re-training of staff which is a continuous process, promotion of staff and finally, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi MultiPurpose Hall under construction, which is at roofing level. With all these, Dr. Ugwuanyi said that she can never rest until all her good intentions to have a new PPSMB are actualised.
